KxResidential - Adding Bedroom Attributes and Descriptions

Bedroom Attributes are used more within the student bedroom stock, however it is also possible to configure them for KxResidential bedrooms.


Room Attributes are shared between Conference Rooms and Bedrooms, the maintenance screen is within the Conference Rooms menu (Conference Rooms > Room Attributes).


When adding a bedroom attribute, the 'Room Type' should be set to Residential. 


Once the required attributes have been added, they can be assigned to bedrooms via the Edit Bedrooms screen.


Highlighting a room and clicking Edit (bottom right) will display the attributes screen for that bedroom.


All configured bedroom attributes will be displayed.  Editing and adding any Data Value against an attribute will enable it for the selected bedroom.


The attribute will then display a tick next to it along with the corresponding value that was entered.


Once saved, the selected bedroom attributes will be displayed at the bottom of the Edit Bedrooms screen for the highlighted room.





Bedroom Description

It is also possible to add a short description for each bedroom.


When using the Bedroom Diary in KxResidential, bedroom attributes can be viewed from two locations.

  • Right clicking any of the bedrooms will display the Bedroom Attributes screen, showing room description and a list of the configured attributes along with Room History.


  • Clicking the Summary button for a highlighted bedroom will display the Room Summary screen, the attributes are shown on the Room Facilities tab. 


Bedroom attributes in KxResidential are for information only.  There is currently no reporting for bedroom attributes and it is not possible to allocate rooms based on these.
